"O, noble spirits in your lofty sphere, look down upon this small ensemble... O, Fire of Salem, O, flame of Satan, Come in Aunt Singe, we're all awaitin'. Come in Aunt Singe! Come in Aunt Singe! Please come in!”
~ Morticia Addams, seance to contact Aunt Singe
Black magic is not what you think if you've never studied or practiced it. The practitioners keep it hidden for a reason. It's not invocations to Satan's Throne as it may appear to the outside world. I'm going to shock most of you here in this article, especially if you are of the Christian beliefs. I was never a Satanist or on, as they call it, “the left hand path." As many of you know I was an ordained Wiccan Priestess, you could take that a step further and say High Priestess. I had a coven and they followed my teaching. Even in the mainstream Wiccan and witchcraft communities that argue about everything, even they would tell you that I always led them right. I would have never steered any of my students wrong nor will I steer you guys wrong.
I learned from an ex-practitioner of the left hand path, which is also called dark or black magic. She had had so much bad stuff happened to her because of her path that she refused to practice anymore and refused to let me go through that myself. I always practiced in the light side of things, or some people call it white magic. Here's the thing. When you know white magic you know black magic. That was the first thing I was taught.
Like I said it's not invocations to Satan or his demons although that can be a part of it. It's not all chicken feet, candles, hot sauce or red peppers (lol) or dolls to play with. It's not pins and needles, either. These things are just props and the invocations are simply things to psych you out to get you “in the mood." Most left hand pathers do not even believe in Satan as most modern satanists do not believe in that entity either. Satan does not exist in Wicca, either. Only a small portion of practitioners of the left hand path or Satanist actually do believe in Satan and invoke him. I'm not going into a whole spiel in this article about that part of it because it's not my purpose.
Here's the part that will shock you.
Black magic is simply wishing harm on another or sending negative energy like anger, hate, etc. to them. It's thinking bad thoughts!
Let me explain. Thoughts are energy, yes all thoughts are energy. The more you direct them toward something or someone, the stronger the energy that you are putting out toward that or them.
Energy is neutral until you color it with your intentions or emotions. Also magic Is magic until you color it with your intentions or emotions. All magic is energy. All magic is energy work. In other words, witchcraft itself is energy work and all the other stuff is simply props. Some symbols have been used so much and therefore set by humanity and the practitioners themselves to summon certain things, certain energies. It's because it's recognized in the spiritual realm because of the centuries, millennia, of occult practices. In other words, it's something that spirits recognize. It's still energy. It's just that simple.
I also will not go into a spill on energy blocks, or as practitioners call it, manifestation blocks. That also is not my purpose here.
These are the basics, the root of all that we call magic. Now let's dive a little deeper into what colors it Black.
There are many spiritual laws in place for both humans and spirits. That is the first thing that you need to know when trying to get the concept of what I'm saying. These laws can be and are broken all the time and most of the people breaking them do not even know they're breaking them. Most of the time these people do not even know what they are. You do not have to be learned to do damage to other people, or what is called black magic. You do not have to sit down and decide that you're going to do black magic today. Some of it just comes out naturally. Let me explain.
Do you really hate someone? Have you ever been so angry at someone that you wish you could carry out your anger upon them? Or have you been so angry that you're thinking about them in that anger? That energy carries out black magic. Have you ever wanted to kill someone? Have you ever wanted to hurt someone? Those thoughts carry out black magic.
I am a reiki master. The practice is based off of universal love and light energy, but I was surprised when I found that some of the strongest black magic that I have encountered came from reiki practitioners thinking that they were in the right or in the spiritual laws on the right side because the practice of reiki does not teach any type of deepened spiritual morality. Let me explain again, but first let me go get some coffee because this calls for it - black coffee.
Now that I have black coffee and a cigarette, let's hit the road!
All the practice of reiki is all energy work, the teaching does not cover what the realm of your own thoughts do significantly enough to discourage how they can harm. I've discovered more than one reiki practitioner who was trying to change my thoughts and my thought patterns and also things that I felt without my permission and that was none of their business. They were trying to shape me into what they wanted. This has nothing to do with healing! This has nothing to do with cleansing! This has to do with power and control.
Power and control are the hub of black magic. The ones who deliberately perform black magic want power and control. They usually do not believe in God and they take matters into their own hands. This is what those reiki practitioners that I ran into was trying to do to me. The worst part of this part of it is that they want to control you, yourself. They do this in different ways but it's all part of energy work and directed thoughts. Like I said earlier, if you direct a thought enough the stronger the energy is behind that thought.
Black magic practitioners want to do harm to other people and situations around them. it is touted that within the left hand path community that all they want to do is control themselves and do for themselves and not for others. This doesn't quite give you the reality of what is actually done.
My teacher in Wicca would always ask me before I did any spell if I had any anger in me or hate. If I did she would forbid me to do the spell and if she thought that I did it anyway she would counter the spell herself and do karmic justice on me. As mean as that sounds it was actually for my benefit because the quicker the karma came back on me the less impact it would have. That's what I was taught. It seems to be true because of my own experiences and also with my own students. She was forbidding me to do black magic! Let that sink in.
Because I was Wiccan, I could go into all of the elements and elementals and the negative sides of them but I won't. That's a whole other study in itself. Everything has a negative or dark side, including us. If we play upon that we are already doing black magic.
What reiki does not teach you is that this universal source of Love or love energy is not actually God or the Holy Spirit as the source books say. You have to learn this to become a reiki master but it's not whholly the truth. While it's a partially true statement, the real source of energy is coming from within the practitioner themselves. What the activation process does for the three levels from another reiki master, what you have to have to proceed to the next level, it's simply the activation of your own sensitivity to the energy around you. I had something similar happen to me when I met the first High Priestess that I had known. Her and one of her coven members “activated" me to feel the energy of the Earth. They told me once they did it I would never stop feeling it and boy was they right! I was activated outside of The Waffle House! (lol) It was the same activation that I experienced becoming a reiki master.
I'm just using reiki as an example now.
Spiritual laws are sometimes difficult to understand. You have to do a lot of meditation and contemplation on them and it's likely that you still won't get the whole gist of them. They have been around and active since the beginning of time.
If you want to do harm to another being, whether human or not including the animal kingdom, you are practicing black magic. I'm not talking about killing animals for food or for self-defense or defense of property. No, if you simply want to harm it is black magic.
What about the thoughts that I was talking about? The harm begins with thoughts that turn into energy.
Spirits are essentially made up of thoughts and feelings and now some experts say that that is plasma. Have you ever heard the teaching that we are simply thoughts of God? That phrase holds a lot of truth to it. Have you ever heard the saying that a watched pot never boils? It's the same concept with a little science to it. It seems that some particles like atoms and electrons and such do not do anything unless they are observed or not observed depending on the situation. That's for the science guys to explain. I'm no scientist. The premise is if you observe the pot you're preventing those particles from heating up and boiling or it will just take a lot longer. My point is you can put this to test in real life and see what your thoughts do and do not do. It also brings me to an observation or theory if you want to call it that. What if the visible things in the universe and in our world are simply there because somebody observed them and stay there because the observation stays with the atoms that make up the matter? Or better yet, that God keeps thinking the thoughts and the physical matter stays here because of it. It's just a thought. I think that my black coffee has something to do with the thought. :)
Having said that, our natural physical energy and the energy that exists in all things that seems like it is simply there, this energy follows our thoughts.
When we use what I am calling props with the energy work, or witchcraft if you want to call it that, they are simply there for one of two reasons. First of all, and that's why I use them sometimes, is to hold my energy that is directed by thought longer than I could hold the thought myself and to release that over time. A good example of that is candle magic or prayer. The second reason is if you are using it as some kind of symbol then that symbol could alert the spirits around to either communicate with them or to involve them in the energy work itself.
Anything that uses energy is witchcraft, reiki, or any other working of that nature. This means that at the heart of them is thought more directed than a normal thought. But that direction could come simply from emotions or thinking about something long enough or strong enough.
Every time that we have a thought we are putting out energy. The energy goes toward whatever that thought is about. Even the Holy Bible tells us not to let the sun go down on our anger. This is because thoughts and emotion direct energy. If you direct negative energy long enough then you are harming whatever you're thinking about or whoever you're thinking about. There's always a deeper meaning in any spiritual teaching that we actually have to search for and is not on the surface. If you look long and hard enough there is actual science to back this up and it is getting easier to find nowadays.
Some of the spiritual laws that negatives thoughts break would be things such as trying to control other people's thoughts without permission or doing anything without permission, anything at all. Trying to change another person without permission. Trying to control someone's feelings. Trying to do harm whether mentally, spiritually or physically to another person or being. Invading someone's spiritual space without permission. Yes, we all have a personal spiritual space that is only ours and ours to control. If anyone or anything invades that it is a spiritual attack.
Spiritual attacks come in many forms as well. They are mostly directed negative thoughts and feelings but some of them can be positive if they are unwanted by the one receiving them. That means if they are without permission. It invades people's personal private spiritual space that is sacred. Spiritual attacks on other people can come in the form of a person attacking that is also working with a spirit attacking for the same purpose. Many practitioners of the dark arts use this method.
Spiritual warfare comes into play here as well. Black magic has a huge part in the spiritual warfare that we are experiencing right now. It has also played a huge part in the past. There's not many people that will disagree that we are in a spiritual war right now. It is evident by the physical wars that are happening around the globe. There is a teaching that is used in Wicca and many other occult beliefs and practices that comes from Aleister Crowley. The teaching is, “as above, so below." That means as it is in the physical, in the flesh, so it is in spirit. Above is the spiritual part and below is the physical part. Like it is in the physical so it is in the spiritual. I have personally found this teaching to be true. Many healing practices like reiki and healing magic that is used in Wicca and witchcraft use this very same principle and some of them do not know where it came from. It is simply stated differently in the source books and textbooks. Yet, it is there.
During the April 8th, 2024 eclipse over North America I had a vision where I saw Anubis showing me that the gods are at war as well. He showed me the serpent deity that was evil that he is fighting. I won't go into any more detail than that right now but it's coming to pass quickly. If I were to give you the names or name of this serpent deity then you would see it very plainly. But that's not the point of this article. I don't want to ramble much because there is so much to cover.
The subject of thoughts and black magic goes even deeper into the spiritual warfare aspect. There is a such thing as a personal state of spiritual warfare and I believe that we're all in one kind of this or another. Especially right now. There is so much hatred out there. So many people gets mad so quickly and quite frankly I think people today are just plain crazy. It's nuts out there! All that stuff is energy. All of that is emotions and thoughts. People are not as much in control of them now as they have been in the past. It is also reflected in the spiritual realm as well as by individual spirits themselves. The spiritual realm is being affected by all of this. This puts us in the state of a personal spiritual warfare. It also comes with the personal spiritual attacks from the people around us who are feeling and thinking negative toward us. That has significantly increased. People get angry so easily now. People jump to conclusions and judge so easily now. People think that they are right and will not look to see if that is true or not so easily now. They turn their backs on what is right and what is wrong. They turned their backs on searching for the truth. They turned their backs even on the evidence itself.
If you doubt this look at the mainstream media and search it out for yourself. We are so used to lies now we can't distinguish the truth from a lie. There is no common sense being used out there anymore. I wish I was wrong.
We have this type of spiritual warfare coming in on us in all directions. Sometimes there's nothing we can do except shield up and take cover. Other times we can try to spread the truth instead. I hate to say it but nowadays it's likely that people won't believe the truth even if they're told.
The essence of the spiritual laws and spiritual morality is the law of love. The Holy Bible says love can cover a multitude of sins. The Beatles said All You need Is Love. When you dig down to the heart of it, you'll find that the only truth is love and light. It is very simple how to keep the spiritual laws and have a sense of spiritual morality with your energy work and with yourself as well. This will extend to other people. And that is, ask yourself a question: is what I'm doing, thinking, or saying or even feeling within love? It's really that simple. But first you need to know what love is. Whether you are Christian or not read 1st Corinthians chapter 13. It is one of the best explanations of love that I've seen yet. Also, CS Lewis has some great works on love published. Love is not simply a feeling. According to Webster love is a verb. A verb is action. Love is action. Love can also be inaction at times depending on the circumstance. Sometimes you don't want to do what you were going to do for the sake of the law of love. You might not want to hurt somebody so you do nothing. That, too, is love.
Before I let you guys go I would like to explain the main symbol of black magic to you. It is the upside down pentagram or pentacle. There is a difference. A pentagram is the five pointed star used in most magical practices. A pinnacle is different because it is the five pointed star with a circle around it. Both of them are used upside down as a symbol for black magic or the left hand path and by Satanists. Essentially, the lower for arms of the star represents the four physical elements and together these elements make up Earth and physicality itself: earth, air, fire, and water. They also make up the flesh. The upper point in the star represents Spirit. The main symbol of the pentagram and Pinnacle itself is to represent Spirit above the flesh or the physical. It is a symbol of spirituality and it's also a symbol used in protection and it used to be used by the church itself. On Old churches you can sometimes find the pentagram and pentacle even in the architecture of the churches. The circle around the five pointed star represents the circle of life or the circle that all nature goes in. When it is inverted it means exactly the opposite, flesh or the physical above Spirit. This is the dark side or the left hand path. When you put your physical nature above your spirit you are living backwards and selfishly. You want power and wish harm on others. That's exactly what it symbolizes. People will tell you it symbolizes rebellion but it's much more than that! When it is upside down it is anti-protection.
All of the stuff that I have told you here is the very reason that students and practitioners of Wicca dive deeply into their subconscious and know what is there through meditation and other spiritual work. It is one of the laws of the witch. We have to know ourselves well! We do not let our subconscious go and do what it will or think or say what it will without us knowing it. This should make sense because of what I've already told you. Not only can It screw up your karma it can screw up your magical working as well. The witch does not want any unforeseen consequence if they can help it. The spell can backfire!
This is why I chose to become Wiccan long ago. No witch is an irresponsible person. They can't be! There's too much dire consequence if they are. It is the best spiritual and occult teaching out there to follow if you don't want to get your butt bitten off by consequences. They are also the most knowledgeable of all pagan and occult practitioners.
I was doing demonology work and exorcisms long before I turn back to Christianity again. There used to be an article on exorcisms on the Llewellyn website but I can't find it at the moment again. It told you step by step how to do a Wiccan exorcism. That's right! We cannot let our minds get inside of this box that we sometimes create and stay there and also be spiritually healthy no matter what religion that we are. Exorcisms in personal practice in Wicca are actually called Shadow Work. Beware if you do that it is dangerous. Y
